Oh my

I get the urge to race hovercrafts when I listen to this.

I'm okay, howru?

Zefy, you're a lunatic. Perhaps if you had any sort of appreciation for minimalism you would understand the brilliance behind this track. I want to say there's a lot more to this song than you're noticing (/capable of comprehending (STAB AT YOUR INTELLIGENCE!)). As for the "not enough things" argument - consider this like the audible counterpart to macro photography.

I headphoned this shit several times on repeat; it was a trip just catching on to the subtleties and morphing filters, etc. The frequency spectrum is balanced very nicely, and the composition is beautiful. My only minor beef with it is that the snare quality is a little bit nauseating - be it the EQ or the way it was compressed...

Very badassical track. This is definitely something I'd be buying if I had any money at all.

Magically phat

I don't normally care for dance music (at all), but this was exceptionally sweet.

Two minor things I can think of keeping it just short of flawless:

Something about the introduction of the kick at the beginning is too fat and almost engulfs the rest of the track in less of a harmonious way. Maybe fixed with EQ or FFT cutting off <20Hz, I can't tell what it is exactly... Secondly, there is a section around 1:50 that sounds spacious and screams for more low-end to lift it off the ground (read: booty bass!). That's about it.

Regardless, this track is pretty amazing. Again, I really fucking hate any form of dance music, but this is most certainly and exception - VERY few dance tracks can I actually "feel," as is the case with this one. I already want to say this is a masterpiece but I haven't even heard your other stuff yet. This is pro material, huge propz for breaking the phatness barrier. I really dig this, and I can't express enough how great it is.

DJ-SomeSortofEvil responds:

Thanks so much, man! This really means alot... I'll mess with it when I make the album...

This is the business.

I love you. Not much else to say. Sorry, no constructive feedback, this is just really awesome.

Kingbastard responds:

hahaha, no worries, everyone loves hearing things like that:)

Sup in here

Let me point out, first, that I absolutely hate dance music. That being said, this is exceptionally badass. I really dig the stack of sounds you have going, they're very solid and cooperative with eachother. Powerful, moving (and catchy!) melody too. I would've dug a bit more boost to the bass to lift the track up a bit, but god damn, this gets a 10 standing as it is.

Also, are you doing anything later tonight? I know where to find a pretty sweet garden of tulips and roses, we can hold hands and frolick through it together? Y/N?

axeFX responds:

haha! I actually turned the bass wayyyy down, because my sennheisers have too much low end. Soon I'll get some decent monitors tho. As for your offer, I'm alergic =[ sorry :P

Mad fatical phresh

This is EXTREMELY underrated with a 2.0 rating right now. Very nice work e-pal.

Only improvement I would suggest from here is pushing out from the cold structure. Yeah I know, I'm pretty good with words. It's a very solid framework; crisp, delicious patterns that just need some sort of sprinkles on top, to give it a bit more of a dynamic, changing feeling. Yeah, my words.. I'm pretty good at making sense. :(

I dig it a lot.

Mabeph responds:

thanks for the review, e-pal
i get what you mean. my songs usually have an odd structure to them, but i agree that this one is a bit more by-the-book.

Nice!

I really dig it. The only small "beef" I have with it is that the elements sound a little raw/unpolished or somewhat primitive, for lack of a better word. That said, however, they still fit very well together and composition is awesome. Very gritty and powerful track, I like it a lot. This is definitely something that'll earn more than just a few listens from me. Keep it up!

YouriX responds:

Yes i left the main melody untouched because i liked the sound it gave! Thanks for the really good review! Boosted my cofindience. And the composing was done by MH16 so you should credit him!

Great job

Pretty awesome. All of the instruments meshed very smoothly. One of the things that I noticed was the drum near the beginning. The beat doesn't sound evenly spaced, whether or not that was intended, it just bothers me a bit.

Overall: pretty damn good piece!

popraz responds:

Thank you for the review, glad you liked it.

Swanky, etc.

This isn't bad at all. One thing I want to point out is that I think you need to check your meters, those kick rushes are brutal and keep rupturing the crystal clarity of the track. The piano also sounds like ass, but meh, no big deal.

HOT.

i dont review anything very often. in fact i think this is my first audio review... im not sure.. but who cares. this rocks. K? IT PWNZ.

and it doesnt sound like telefon tel aviv at all, the other guy that reviewed this is insane.
